I am a violin and piano teacher.
I am a violinist who is passionate about music-making by people of all ages and abilities. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from Queen’s University Belfast in 2019 with First Class Honours. I then went on to the University of St. Andrews to study Psychology with a large emphasis on music psychology. I became very interested in music and the mind which has led me to my current venture of Music Therapy at the University of South Wales. I believe that music is powerful and essential in an individual’s personal development.
My primary instrument is the violin, where I hold my Associate Performance Diploma from ABRSM. The violin brings me great joy and I have had the privilege to perform in some amazing youth orchestras across my time as a student (National Youth Orchestra of Wales, Ulster Youth Orchestra, Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra, University of St. Andrews Chamber Orchestra etc.). I continue to perform in events across the UK and Ireland which I immensely enjoy. I strive to carry my love for the instrument into my teaching as I believe in the importance of a teacher with passion for their craft. I also play the viola and the piano which has been a thoroughly enriching experience. I have 6 years teaching experience and have previously taught ABRSM and Trinity for classical violinists/violists/pianists and Irish/Scottish traditional fiddle.
