I am a Flute, Piano Teacher and Music Theory Teacher.

My Story

I am studying music at Ulster University at the Magee campus, about to enter my final year. I am a flautist and pianist, holding a performance diploma in flute and continuing work on grade 7 piano. I also have grade 8 music theory, with intentions to continue to diploma level.

I have been playing music since I was nine, my first instrument being the flute. I have participated in many ensembles over the years including as a member of the South Ulster Academy Band, progressing to the South Ulster Youth Band in later years. I am currently a member of the Ulster University Choir.

I have also been nominated for numerous awards through the South Ulster Academy and Youth Bands, including the South Ulster Academy Band cup, South Ulster Youth Band cup and the Bothwell Perpetual Cup for the most promising flute player.

I have had many teaching experiences, from acting as a mentor to the EA Music Makers Band for primary-aged children to teaching one-to-one lessons myself in recent years, both for children and adults. I am passionate about teaching music and strive to create an enjoyable and encouraging atmosphere for students to learn and develop their skills and talents.
