Hello
I am a Piano and Violin Teacher.
My Story
I am a classically trained pianist and violinist as well as a school music teacher with extensive experience teaching young people. Through my work in schools and private music settings, I have supported many students at different stages of their musical journey, helping them develop both confidence and strong musical foundations.
I studied at Ulster University, where I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Music. I also hold an Associate Diploma in Piano Performance from the London College of Music.
Alongside teaching, I work with a wide range of musicians across different styles including classical, jazz, and contemporary music. I have accompanied several candidates in the Northern Ireland Young Musician of the Year competition, some of whom have progressed to the final stages.
I am also actively involved in community music-making. I conduct the Playing for Pleasure Orchestra and perform as a violinist with the Spire Ensemble, working with musicians of all ages who share a love of playing together.
I am passionate about helping young people discover the enjoyment and creativity that comes from playing an instrument. My teaching focuses on building solid technique while encouraging students to express themselves musically and develop a lifelong love of music.
