Originally from Castlewellan, Co. Down, I have been playing guitar for over 25 years and teaching for around six years. I teach guitar and songwriting to students of all ages, abilities and musical interests, from complete beginners to more experienced musicians looking to develop and refine their skills.

Over the years, I have performed with a wide range of bands and artists, giving me extensive practical experience as a working musician. Alongside performing, I write, record and produce my own original music and, more recently, have begun composing music for film and television. This varied background allows me to bring practical knowledge of performance, songwriting, recording, composition and the wider creative process into my teaching.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual goals and interests, whether that means learning favourite songs, developing technique, writing original music, exploring creativity, or preparing for graded examinations. I teach across a broad range of musical styles and can support students preparing for London College of Music, Trinity College London and Rockschool examinations.

I believe that learning music should be enjoyable, inspiring and accessible. My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop their musical skills and enjoy making music at every stage of their learning journey.
