​I am a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music technology enthusiast with extensive experience teaching students across a wide range of ages, abilities, and musical interests.

​

I graduated in 2015 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Popular Music Performance from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London. I also hold a Licentiate Diploma in Music Teaching from Rockschool.

Since graduating, I have taught classical and contemporary piano, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, and mandolin privately, in secondary schools, and through music schools across Armagh and Tyrone.

​

Classical piano is an important part of my teaching and performing background, and I enjoy helping students develop strong technique, musicianship, musical expression, and confidence at the instrument. I also prepare students for graded examinations up to Grade 8, supporting them with the technical, practical, and musical skills required for successful exam preparation across the instruments I teach.

As a performer, I enjoy playing in classical concerts, bands, and musical theatre pit ensembles, which allows me to bring experience from a broad range of musical styles into my teaching.

I tailor lessons to each student's individual goals, whether they are learning for enjoyment, developing their technique, exploring different musical styles, performing with others, or working towards higher-level graded examinations. My aim is to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and appropriately challenging, while helping each student develop confidence and a lasting enjoyment of music.
