I teach Piano
My Story
I am an experienced music educator currently working as Head of Music in a local secondary school, with 14 years’ experience as a classroom music teacher and private piano tutor. With a strong background in music education and performance, I am passionate about helping students develop their musical skills, confidence and enjoyment of playing the piano.
Having achieved Grade 8 standard in piano, I have extensive experience as both a musician and teacher. My role as Head of Music has given me many years of experience working with students of different ages, abilities and learning styles, as well as preparing and supporting young musicians for performances, examinations and a wide range of musical opportunities.
My piano lessons are primarily aimed at students from beginner level through to Grade 5 standard. I particularly enjoy working with students who are developing their foundations, helping them build strong technique, musical understanding and confidence as they progress.
Lessons are tailored to each individual student and their goals. Whether you are learning to play for the first time, working towards a graded examination, developing your technique or simply wanting to learn your favourite songs, I aim to make lessons both enjoyable and purposeful.
I believe that learning music should be about more than simply playing the correct notes. My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop their musical skills and genuinely enjoy making music.
Whether you are taking your first steps at the piano or working towards Grade 5, I would love to help you achieve your musical goals.
