Hello
I am a Piano and Music Theory Tutor
My Story
I am an experienced piano teacher and professional musician with over six years of teaching experience, having started teaching at the age of 18. I hold an ARSM Diploma in Music Teaching and have been playing piano from a very young age. Alongside teaching, I’ve built a professional career in musical theatre, working on West End tours and London productions, as well as serving as Head of Music for a theatre company in Liverpool and working with performing arts programmes in New York and Connecticut.
I’ve taught students of all ages and abilities, from children as young as four to adult learners, and I believe that every student is different. That’s why I tailor each lesson to the individual — combining solid technique, musical understanding and strong foundations at the piano with the music each student actually wants to play.
Whether you’re working towards an exam, looking to build your confidence and skills, or simply want to learn your favourite songs, my aim is to make every lesson enjoyable, encouraging and rewarding. I believe learning an instrument should be fun, and I want my students to develop not only as pianists, but as confident and independent musicians.
Whatever your goals, I’ll work with you to make sure lessons are engaging, supportive and tailored to help you get the most out of your time at the piano.
